The Miss Daisy
This banjo got its name from the movie "Driving Miss Daisy".
It's a funny thing, that's what I call my wife. It seems no matter
where we go, I always drive. That's all I'm saying....LOL.
Miss Daisy is made from Curly Maple and Purple Heart with a spun
brass tone ring with all chrome hardware.
The Purple Heart trimming just sets off the curly maple. The peghead
is what I call "The Dog Ear". The piece of purple heart
is not an inlay. It is a block of wood I added. I'm always looking
for something different.
This is a great sounding banjo. It's light in weight but heavy
in sound.

The PawPaw
The banjo was named after what all of my dad's grandchildren
call him.
Since he was the one that taught me how to work with wood I
figured I would name a banjo after him. His picture is on the
home page of website.
The PawPaw is made of White Oak and Purple Heart, with a white
oak wooden tone ring on a block rim. It has a nice old-fashioned
sound and the purple heart just sets off the white oak so nicely.

The Haze
The Haze is the first of its kind to my knowledge. I haven't
seen another one like it. It is solid purple heart wood with
a trimming of ebony on the rim and peghead. Along with the
color contrast, I add gold and chrome hardware. This banjo
stands out in a crowd.
The Whyte Laydie tone ring along with the natural hardness of
the wood creates a sound that is clear and crisp.... one to catch
the ear of many.
The Haze is the first but not the last of its kind here at Unionville
Strings. With its looks and sound, it stands out in a league
of its own.
